Living Life

I have been trying lately to actually live and love my life, not just let it pass me by.  I realize more every day  how quickly time is passing and how much I am really missing out on by doing the daily grind.  So I purchased tickets to go see Rocky Horror Picture show, and we went last night,  It is something that has always interested me, and although I had made mention of it several times since I heard that it would be in Portland close to Halloween neither Greg nor I had done anything about it.  Typical.  But I decided to stop waiting and do something, so I purchased them.
Us at the show during intermission.
Once there I even went so far as to purchase the "Participation Pack" to get more involved in the show.  I am usually hesitant to get involved, even when everyone around me is.  At concerts I am one of the people who usually just sits and listens I don't dance around or get rowdy.  Hell I even stayed in my seat for most of the game when I saw the Bears play at Soldier Field.  But I am trying to branch out and try new things, be more active in my happiness.
The pack had newspapers to use when Janet & Brad are caught in the storm,
Glow Sticks to use during "There's a light" verse of the Over at the Frankenstein Place song.
Rubber Gloves to snap during the Creation Speech
Party Blowers to use at the end of the Creation Speech
Confetti after Rocky & Frank get "married" and head to the bedroom
Card to throw during the song I'm Going Home when Frank sings "Cards for sorrow, cards for pain"
Picture curtsy of Live On Stage: view of the theater after the show .. mess from the participation packs!!!
I had a really good time, I think Greg did too ... well at least he said he did but he may have just been humoring me I know he does not care for musicals. Not only did we get to see the show but we also got to explore a part of downtown Portland we had not been to before, that was neat.  The World Trade Center where the show was at was really beautiful.

Anyway back to the show, it was well done and the theater group did an amazing job. I loved the costuming.  There were a few hecklers in the front row but I think it just added to the experience. The audience got really into it which was great.  At the end of the all the bows and acknowledgements the theater group even got everyone int he audiance up in the isles and dancing to the Time Warp!!
I recommend it to any of my friends in the Portland area.  Here is the link to the site where I got our tickets.

Well here is to, hopefully, many more good nights and adventures.
