I am in my late 20's and have lived the past 8 years, wow its been that long already, in the great state of Iowa. I grew up about an hour outside Chi Town and as much as I love my family, I have made Iowa my home. I have some really great friends, who's shenanigans you will surly read about here, a cute house where I love to entertain & a golden lab/retriever who is my baby. The last 2 years have been filled with a lot of changes; some loss and more recently heartache which, lucky you, will also end up here eventually I am sure.

I went to college at Iowa State University where I received 2 undergrad degrees in Psychology & Business Management. I am currently a professional working in the social services field with people with mental illness. I chose this field for very personal reasons and have not really regretted it, even thought I passed on a much more lucrative career as a CAD designer. I started out my career in the field working with children with mental and behavioral disabilities but have recently begun working with adults with mental illness. I made many fantastic friends while doing a job that most of the time I love.
I absolutely LOVE to travel, but sadly have not done much of it in the last few years, been too busy trying to pay the bills. I traveled a lot in high school and well as being very active in extra curriculars that were important to me. Some where along the way I lost that spontaneous fun loving girl and I want to get her back. Some things have happened in the last few months to make me reevaluate my position in life and start to make some changes for ME! I have spent too much time in the last 5 years or so taking care of others at the expense of me, I am not sure yet how this "working for ME" is going to work out as its really not in my nature but I will keep you all informed of my progress. :)
So I have been meaning to write a blog for a long while but could never come up with the right name I was looking for to grasp the vast expanses of my mind, which much to some of my friends dismay never stays on topic for long and is always jumping around to the most random things. I wanted a place to share my thoughts on the everyday as well as share the stores of my pretty ordinary life to see if others feel the same way. So I hope you all enjoy what you read here, as much as I enjoy telling the stories. Please feel free to comment and leave your input ... I am sure at times I will need it!
